Chill and smoke pot. Or K2 if you don’t want THC in your urine.

Take a deep breath and let it out slowly, Keep your body moving and have good tempo thoughts!
Also do stretching exercises during your round and swing the club easily a few times before your shot! Good Luck!

Avoid stimulants prior to your game…caffeine (soda, coffee, tea, red bull, monster, energy drinks), excess sugar, chocolate, cold medications that contain pseudo-epinephrine, Nicotine.
Breathing exercises, using IPOD, Homeopathic medications sold at health food stores “Calms Forte”, helps reduce anxiety, nerves without side effects, safe for all ages, self hypnosis. Find a good “Pre-shot” routine that helps you relax and focus on the shot at hand.
As your confidence with golf grows your anxiety will lessen. Try and focus on one shot at a time, just you and your ball. Trust your club selection, trust your swing and trust your clubs. Swing smooth and follow through. Never hold your breath; ***** when you swing keep your mouth open so you will not tense your mouth and grind your teeth; generally if your mouth is relaxed the rest of your body will relax as well.*****Try it.

Don’t worry about it. It is only a game. Have fun and don’t think of it like a competition. I go out and have bad rounds sometimes, everyone does, and even still I talk with my friends, tell jokes, laugh, just make it like its a different place to hang out with your friends. It also helps to calm down because it lets you get better scores and then there is incentive. I used to get very upset and would shoot in the 60s. I got some new clubs and now I don’t care how well I shoot and I shoot low 40s. Trust me, stay calm and have fun. Golf is just a game.

Start practicing yoga, and mediating exercises, they will help in the long run.

That’s easy, you all ready have to be a calm person. Seriously, all the work you do on the range should prepare you to play on the course. Develop a sound pre-shot routine and that will help your cause.

Try to remember that it’s just a game. After 18 holes you’ll go home to your family whether you’ve played well or poorly.
Like the old saying goes – a bad day on the golf course is better than a good day at work.
My personal favourite – any day above ground is a good day.

learning a routine will help. this is my routine. i imagine what shot i want to do. i find a spot that i align my shot, do a practice swing, line up my club face, stance one swing thought, take back slowly and swing without yanking chopping, swing thru.

I usually like to listen to a good song before I go out and then i can keep it going through my head and i dont worry about every swing so much.

When I get antsy or start playing too fast, there’s a couple of different things I do. If you are in a cart, don’t drive right up next to the ball. park 20 or so feet away, select your club and then walk slowly to the ball. While doing that, look at the hole and find your target line. This process usually slows me down and I make a much smoother swing.
If you’re carrying or pulling your bag set the clubs down when you get to the ball. Step back and size up your shot so you make a good club selesction. get your club, take a couple easy practice swings and step up to the ball.
Slowing your body down, slows the heart rate and lets your mind relax.
Hope this helps! Best of Luck to you!
