I was just curious. I’ve been golfing all week and I was wondering if it can help me lose weight. If it can, in what area?
please & thank you.

When you lose weight, you don’t usually do it in any particular area. (You can gain weight in a particular area, but fat loss is usually evenly distributed.)
Golfing can help weight loss because:
1) You’re busy golfing instead of eating fattening food.
2) You’re sweating, and possibly losing water weight.
3) Golfing is active, even if it’s not the most active sport. Many people do a lot of walking when they golf.

Oh yes, have a look at Tiger Woods and all the other famous players.
There is lots of walking to do and effort put into how you play.
The more practise you do the more walking. Those golf courses are huge!
Unless you use a golf cart. That’s just lazy.

Golfing is great exercise. Mainly because you have too walk close to 1/2 mile. That’ll lose fat in your abdomen, stomach, and calf muscles. Your shoulders will get a little workout out too. It doesn’t seem like much but if you drive atleast 4 par-5s your shoulders will feel good.

If you go golfing without a cart you will burn a lot of calories by walking the whole course and using your muscles when swinging your club……when I was younger I use to go golfing with my dad and I and the most gorgeous pair of legs, they are still alright looking but not as toned as when I was walking that course every second day
so yes golf can keep you in shape, take a look at all the female golfers…they are all in good shape.

Any activity that contributes to your body ‘burning’ more calories than it consumes will help you to lose weight.
And contrary to what a lot of women believe there is no exercise on God’s Earth that can make you lose weight from one specific area in preference to another.
