If 2 people go golfing and rent a cart, do they both pay the riding fee?

If its $50 for riding, and $30 for walking at the course, do they both pay $50 or is it $50 and $30 since your getting one cart.

most places you go both riders will have to pay a walking fee. It seems pretty dumb but that’s how most courses do it when I go.

Usually you pay a green fee (that’s the $30 each) and then you get a cart. The cart is one fee ($50), you split that.

The playing fee is for one individual . The cart fee is usually based on the individual as well. If a single rents a cart he is charged for one fee. If he has a rider with him the rider pays as well. This is primarily to preserve equity within the club.

Each course sets their prices differently, the only way to know for sure is to call the course and ask. But based on the way you worded it, I would assume each player pays $50 and you get 1 cart to share.
Most places I’ve seen specify the cart rental price per player. So if its $20 for cart rental, its $20 per player, regardless of whether 1 or 2 players ride in it.
I’ve seen some places that specify per cart, but not as many. I’ve also seen it specified as a cart rental rate, but single riders get a small discount (not half price though), for example it might be $20 for cart rental (assuming 2 players), but single riders only pay $15.
It varies so much the best thing to do is call and ask.

Nope both parties pay the “Green Fees” and if both want to ride the cart then both have to pay for the right to ride.
$30 for GF
$20 for cart
$50 bucks each

Yea its the right to ride more than the cart itself, but not at all golf courses,
because then most people want their own cart if they are paying for it seperatley…and I dont blame them, but if one cart pays for two people then…its better for the consumer,
but if i have to pay seperatly then I want my own cart regardless if I know the person I playing with

In most courses, you’re renting per butt. That’s how they make their money.

You both pay $50 to ride in the same cart or you both pay $30 to walk.
