Yes it is very hot out there during the summer. It feels like an oven when you are outdoors. It’s a very dry heat and the temps are over 100 for most of the summer.
Of course it would be alot better during September. Much cooler during the fall.
If you can’t stand heat, then don’t go out there in the summer, if you can tolerate it, then swing away.

It’s going to be around 100 (but that can change), less than this week. Supposedly *real feel* high is 116 in Palm Desert, a bit less in Palm Springs today. Yikes.
But it’s really up to you, my dh, he would do it, just on the course early, although he has golfed in a summer afternoon there when he had to go see a client. But then he’s crazy, he can do 18 holes in an hour during twilight, and golfs in the dark. Usually we go to Palm Desert in October, when it’s cooled down a bit. Usually goes from 100+ in August, 100ish in Sept, to 90′s in October.
Have fun!

People who have not been to the Palm Springs area generally assume since it is in the desert it is hot. What is less known is that the area is very windy.

It’s TOO hot. Like Africa hot. Tarzan couldn’t handle that hot. Why do you think he moved to Tarzana?
Seriously, though, LATE September is when it gets bearable.

Whew! Yeas may be dangerous to be out in the heat.

YES – also a little known fact is that a lot of Palm Springs closes down in July/August. We in August a few years back and it was even difficult to find a decent restaurant open.
