Where should a new golf player buy golf clubs?

I’m trying to pick up golf. Where should a new player buy his clubs? Should I buy used ones? Or go online? How much should I spend?
Thanks!

If you’re not sure, pick up some used ones. When you find out the type you like, then go full out and get the “big boys.”
Or try renting some to try out what you like

At a yard sale, unless your an experienced player your game will not be seriously improved by an expensive set of clubs. I wouldn’t spend more than fifty bucks. Once you have spent a little time playing you can invest in the clubs you use most often (most likely a putter, driver, and a good wedge) and build yourself a quality set.

http://www.onlinegolf.com, provides a wide range of clubs, that varies between high handicap golfer, to experienced golfers.
SERIOUSLY, IT IS A GOOD WEBSITE, AS IT HAS MORE VARIETY, IN COMPARISION TO OTHER WEBSITES..

A basic set of golf clubs is all any golfer needs to start playing the game. Three woods, a collection of 3-9-irons, pitching wedge, sand wedge and a putter, are all that is required. As your game develops and you improve, certain additional, more specific clubs can be added to suit your abilities.
To start there’s only one rule to remember: You can’t carry more than 14 clubs in your bag at any one time.
As to purchasing clubs ,you may hav a try at Ebay or wowogolf.com for some discount clubs . That’s easy .Good luck .

The price will vary depending on the quality of clubs you want. Honestly, the best thing to do is go into a pro shop and talk to a professional about what a new golf player should purchase for his first set. But, you can find great deals online at sites like overstock, onlinefitness, or 3balls. Or you could always buy a used set on ebay or craigslist or swarm for it at eswarm.

Check out NJGolfMan.com . That site is filled with golf clubs, irons, putters and so on at GREAT prices!
They offer the top brands at affordable prices and they are actually running a shipping deal that for all orders over $100, you receive free shipping.
My husband continually visits this site for his golfing needs and I’m even considering ordering something for my father for Father’s Day here.

Hope this helps!

Save your money and borrow some first for awhile. Ask the people you want to golf with if they have an extra set – like one a spouse’s or son’s or daughter’s- that you can borrow.
